Vilen has quite the reputation for being a capable varsity athlete and has even gone as far to make a name for himself among New Jersey wrestling spaces. Two time district champion, one time regional champion(see image) and a three time state qualifier. Surely next season he will have no problem qualifying again. He’s also a pretty decent hurdle jumper however it seems that he mainly focuses on folkstyle wrestling. Pages could be written on his athletic life… but not much on his personal life. Not surprising as most celestials don’t leave their homes after noon. Still though, if it wasn't for the fact that he was a known athlete he would be a recluse. Vilen usually hangs around the other varsity athletes but it looks like he doesn't really like them that much, other than fellow wrestler and football player, Edward Dickson.
One would think maybe his home life is crowded but nope. His dad, Albert Sr passed away from leukemia six years ago so nothing going on with that. His mom, Lorri Vorbev works late hours at the hospital so it's not like he has much time with her. No siblings to look after, no pets to play with. Vilen is completely alone at home and doesn't really try to do anything to combat this loneliness. He doesn’t attend parties or leave the house for anything other than errands. No super important relationships with girls… just very lonely.
Recently however it seems he's been trying to start some sort of friendship with the outcasts of the school, Ramiro Garcia Ruiz and Sofia Vergas. With this it becomes easier to find that Vilen is kind of annoying. He's very loud and boisterous and tends to make disgusting jokes about bodily fluids and appendages. His selflessness however cancels out the irritable nature, otherwise im sure the two outcasts would have left him months ago. In short Vilen has a big heart and a lot of love to share but has a hard time trying to find people who will accept it.

Found a police file from when he was about six. He and his family were suspected of being communist spies after a presentation done on heritage. Apparently he told the class his dad was from the Union and his mom was Korean and eventually it led to the teacher calling the police. The Soviet Union collapsed two years before this happened.
Speaking of his dad, Albert Vorbev was actually a freestyle olympic wrestler representing the Union before moving to the U.S.
